For over two hundred years the powerful stories of the Brothers Grimm have enchanted millions around the world, but there has never been an adaptation as intriguing or provocative as this. Grimm Fairy Tales explores a much darker side of the infamous fables you heard as a child as these classic tales are retold and re-imagined with a terrifying twist you'll simply love as an adult. Different Seasons collects some of the most popular Grimm Fairy Tales one-shots, including GFT 2009 Annual, GFT 2009 Halloween and Holiday editions, and Giant-Sized Grimm Fairy Tales #1.

Let me begin by saying that I almost didn't purchase this book. As an avid part of the comics community, I had heard rumors from friends and acquaintances saying that Zenescope Entertainment is nothing more than what we call a "cheesecake factory" (a company that objectifies its characters, women especially, to ridiculous proportions to generate interest and revenue without having much substance to the products themselves). But my love for myths, legends, and fairy tales combined with sheer curiosity won out and I bought the book. I am happy to say that I made the right decision.I found that most of the "cheesecake" I had heard about usually concerned the covers of the individual comics and not the content inside, at least for these first twelve issues. There's some here and there, but nothing too major for the target audience. The stories, despite their various reimaginings, stayed true to their original content, and the art is simply beautiful and very well done. Underneath the dust cover lies a very handsome black-with-gold-trim hardcover book that feels very solid and looks great on the shelf, modeled after Sela and Belinda's fairy tale books shown on the pages within.
My only complaint is that the other eleven or so volumes of Grimm Fairy Tales didn't receive this treatment. I would have loved to collect each of them to complete the collection with each hardcover being a different color (for example, volumes three and four being red-and-gold like Sela's book, volumes five and six being purple-and-gold like Belinda's book, etc.). Perhaps sometime later once Zenescope decides its a good idea.
Overall, this is a very good value and worth every cent I paid. If you're tired of the same-old superhero antics, love fairy tales, or just want to try something new, I recommend you but this book. This is a real triumph for indie comics, and I hope Zenescope will continue to deliver in the future.

Grimm Fairy Tales Different Seasons Vol 1 Grimm Fairy Tales 20072016 eBook Joe Brusha Ralph Tedesco Reviews
Great Grimm's for every Season! -) If you love the Grimm's for it's flare then this will fit right into your collection!
This is a well illustrated and written GN but the females are drawn for the 12 to 18 age males-common for the market and industry. I would someday like to see a hero, female, who didn't have 44 DD cup size but that's just me.
Good really good
I kek'd
I really enjoy Grimm Fairly Tales stories, the art work great and the stories hold keep you wanting more. I really enjoy this book.
Yup, Im a sucker for it. If you don't know about Todesco, do yourself a solid. Great collection here.
Well the stories of the book are alright, partially I knew them already, because I own also some of the issues. The sad thing is that tehy didn't reprint all the covers of the issues in big format, what they did is a reprint of all covers on one page in thumbnail format. And the covers are very special . I hope for future compendiums that they won#t repeat this mistake.
